Samsung recently launched Galaxy J3 Emerge loaded with Android Marshmallow. If you ask why Samsung integrated Android Marshmallow when Nougat is available, then you are wrong. The Android 7.0 Nougat loaded Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge has been granted WiFi certification by the Wi-Fi Alliance.

With the Wi-Fi Alliance granting Android Nougat certification to the Galaxy J3 Emerge, we infer that an update will be pushed via OTA within the next few days. If you have access to Galaxy J3 Emerge, you will most likely get an update soon. If you don’t have patience, you can manually verify the existence of the update.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge features a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 1.5GB RAM paired with 16GB internal storage. While the rear camera features a 5MP sensor, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a 2MP sensor. A 2600mAh battery supplies power to the handset.

With product and model number SM-J327A, the Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge has been listed under the frequency band of 2.4 GHz. Moreover, the phone will be powered by Android 7.0 Nougat instead of the recently launched Android 7.1.

We don’t have any information as to whether Samsung will launch the Android Nougat-based Galaxy J3 Emerge separately or as an OTA update.
