Within days after the launch of OnePlus 3T Colette edition, it’s the turn of the Apple to manufacture iPhone 7 Plus Vintage edition in association with Colorware. Based in Minnesota, Colorware has announced the launch of the iPhone 7 Plus Retro edition with rainbow-colored logo on the rear side.
According to the company sources, the Colorware-branded iPhone 7 Plus Retro model will resemble the Mac of 1980’s and has been designed with attention to detail. Unlike the Apple logo in iPhone 7 Plus, the Colorware edition ships with rainbow-colored logo.
The handset also ships with dark beige edge stripes on the left and right side, which you can clearly visualize from the picture. We can also spot the dual camera including the controls on the side. If you work with the iPhone 7 Plus retro edition, you will be able to feel the real piece of art.
As part of the launch offer, Colorware is offering authenticity certification to the first 25 customers of the iPhone 7 Plus retro variant. If you are one of the first 25 customers, then the vendor provides authenticity, and hence you will be able to work with it without any worry. We expect that the offer of authenticity is a marketing trick and they will provide the same authenticity papers for all customers beyond 25 customers.
With model A1661, the iPhone 7 Plus Retro Edition is an unlocked SIM free handset with the same specifications as the regular iPhone 7 Plus. The handset includes mobile and wireless bands, Apple A10 processor, 256GB internal storage, 12MP wide-angle and telephoto camera sensors.
The iPhone 7 Plus Retro edition product package includes Apple EarPods with remote control and microphone, Lightning to USB Cable, USB power adapter including the required documentation. You will get a warranty from ColorWare instead of Apple.
If you think you can purchase iPhone 7 Plus Retro edition quickly, then you are wrong since it will cost $1899 excluding sales tax. Depending upon your location, you will have to pay additional as sales tax. Hence, the total amount will be higher. Furthermore, it will take two to three weeks for the shipment of the iPhone 7 Plus.
You should note that the special edition smartphones are expensive than conventional handsets due to the manufacturing process involved with the design of the phone. The main work is carried out on the rear side with the integration of a specially designed logo.
While OnePlus manufactured 2590 units of OnePlus 3T Colette edition, Colorware is providing authenticity certificate for only 25 units. We don’t have any information as to whether the company will sell more than 25 units of iPhone 7 Plus Retro edition.
