Xiaomi is expected to launch Redmi 4A smartphone in New Delhi on March 20. Amazon India has confirmed the exclusive launch of the exclusive handset by posting a teaser on its official website.
It is expected that Manu Jain and Jai Mani will play a key role in the launch and drive sales of new handsets. The upcoming event is the first after Xiaomi Vice President Hugo Barra left the company to join Facebook as the head of Virtual Reality.
The company has already mailed media invites to all journalists, Mi Fans, and bloggers. With the title “Time to get smarter,” the media invite looks simple. It prompts the users to join a press briefing along with the name of the presenters alongside the date. Interestingly, the time of the launch has been masked on the invite we sourced from the web. However, we expect the launch to start at 11.30 AM. Xiaomi has already launched the Redmi 4 series in China in November 2016.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 425 processor, Adreno 308 graphics, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera powered by a 3120mAh battery. The handset will ship loaded with MIUI 8 on top of Android Marshmallow.
In addition to Redmi 4A, Xiaomi is also rumored to launch few other smartphones. Previously, there were rumors about the launch of the Redmi 4, Redmi 4 Prime, and Redmi 4X. However, we don’t have any official confirmation about the launch of these phones. However, we are giving the specifications of all the phones below.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 (CNY 899), successor to the Redmi 3S will feature a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing snapper loaded with Android Marshmallow. A 3100mAh battery completes the package. If you had loved the Redmi 3S released in 2016, you will also like the upcoming Redmi 4.
The Prime variant of Redmi 4 will be similar to that of the standard model except the fact that it will ship with a fingerprint sensor on the rear side and 32GB default internal storage. On the specifications front, the Redmi 4 Prime will ship with a 5-inch FHD 2.5D curved glass display, Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 graphics, 3GB RAM powered by a 4100mAh battery.
Regarding the specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 4X will flaunt a 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 435 processor, a 13MP rear camera coupled with 5MP selfie shooter. You can expect the availability of 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB internal storage options. Powered by a 4100mAh battery, the phone will ship loaded with Android 6.1 Marshmallow.
Even though all the new Redmi handsets will be loaded with Android Marshmallow, the devices will receive Android Nougat update within the next three months. You can expect integration of VoLTE technology in all the handsets. We will continue to keep track of the launch event and will update.
