VS Achuthanandan, former Kerala Chief Minister Goes Facebook and Twitter way, launches website also

Just few days ahead of the much-awaited Kerala Assembly Polls 2016, former Kerala Chief Minister, VS. Achuthanandan has opened his official Facebook page and Twitter accounts in a bid to reach out to tech savvy people.

Inaugurated by former home minister and current CPI-M state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, the website reveals the personal and political life of the leader and the struggles he has carried out in and outside the state Assembly.

As of writing this, there are 1371 followers on his official Twitter handle – @vs1923 and 56660 likes on his official Facebook page, which can visited at https://www.facebook.com/OfficialVSpage/. He has posted only one tweet and we hope more tweets can be expected soon.

His official website (http://www.vsachuthanandan.in), however, displays content in Malayalam with an option to switch to English as well. We found that some of the content was posted in January and it seems that they have decided to launch the website on the eve of elections.

Despite former minister TM Thomas Issac is active on Twitter since last five years, VS. Achuthanandan is way ahead of other politicians like Shashi Tharoor of Congress.

Even though he is 92+ years old, VS. Achuthanandan will be contesting from Malampuzha constituency in the May 16 Assembly polls.
