Intex unveiled its new budget Aqua G2 smartphone in India at Rs. 1990 in Grey and Champagne color variants. Aimed at first time smartphone buyers, the Intex Aqua G2 features a 2.8-inch TFT display loaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Commenting on the sidelines of the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies revealed that the company has launched Aqua G2 to target those users who are yet to make a switchover to smartphones. With all the required features, the device is equipped with al the major performance capabilities which any first-time user expects out of the smartphone experience.
On the specifications front, the Intex Aqua G2 offers a 2.8-inch TFT display with a screen resolution of 240×320 pixels, 256MB RAM, 512MB of storage (expandable up to 16GB) powered by an 1100mAh battery.
The Intex Aqua G2 features a low end 0.3-megapixel front and rear cameras with support for dual-SIMs. With a thickness of 11mm, the Intex Aqua G2 will not provide support for 3G, which is pretty disappointing but comes with preloaded apps such as Opera mini.
Kalirona, further disclosed that Intex is looking to increase the market share and tap the potential feature phone consumers with an affordable price point.
