BJP Kerala is organizing a social media volunteers meet on April 30, 2016 at 4PM in Thiruvanathapuram. To boost social media participation, BJP Kerala unit has launched a volunteer opportunity for those who are willing to spare time by writing articles or by contributing to Facebook and Twitter channels.
With Kerala elections just 18 days ahead, political parties like BJP have intensified the campaigning by launching series of programs via social media. By actively leveraging the benefits of Facebook and Twitter, candidates are reaching out to electorates especially tech savvy youths.
To be presided over by President and Convenor of Kerala BJP unit, the volunteers meet will also be attended by Amit Malviya, National Head, IT cell, BJP.
It remains to be seen as to how effective the social media campaigning will be. There are people who are still not familiar with the nuances of social media. The social media campaining will succeed only if the notices distributed to the people carry the relevant handles.
