Xiaomi Mi 5 Gold Edition launches on April 29 in India

The Xiaomi Mi 5 Gold Edition is scheduled to launch on April 29 in both standard and high variants. The rear of the device is touted to be manufactured using 3D glass and not ceramic as widely rumored. The Pro variant will not ship in Gold color.

On the specifications front, Xiaomi Mi 5 Gold Edition features 5.1-inch Full HD IPS display, 1.8GHz quad core Snapdragon 820 chip, Adreno 530 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 7.

While the main camera offers 16MP sensor with LED flash and filter support, the front-facing shooter is equipped with a 4MP sensor. On the connectivity segment, the Mi 5 provides support for 4G, VoLTE, NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, GLONASS, GPS including a sensitive fingerprint sensor. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.
