HTC’s new Google Nexus 6P has been spotted in Geekbench’s online score browser with Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of RAM. At first sight, the device looked identical to the Huawei-made device that’s been announced last year, but this Nexus 6P has different hardware.
On the specifications front, the new Nexus 6P version is expected to feature Snapdragon 820 chipset (not the 810 like the 2015 model), and it comes with 4GB of RAM, which is 1GB increase from the existing Nexus 6P.
Touted to be equipped with Android N, Google will likely stick with the Nexus 6P moniker for this year’s Nexus phablet by just changing the hardware and the company, which will be HTC-made product.
It’s no surprise that the upcoming Nexus 6P will be equipped with Android N especially with the fact that Google has already released the first two developer previews.
In all probability, the upcoming Nexus 6P could be made official at Google I/O next month. There will be no change except the fact that there will be changes to the processor and RAM amount.
