Microsoft has launched Canvas Mega 2 phablet with a 6-inch IPS display and a massive 3000mAh battery for Rs. 7999. Manufactured using plastic and glass, the new Canvas Mega 2 features a slim design even though the display is large.
Responding to media queries, Mr. Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics revealed that the mobile traffic is expected to grow at 88 percent between 2016 to 2019 since there is a huge increase in 3G and 4G networks. Moreover, the mobile gaming users are looking forward to buy a smartphone with huge display because they can perform wide range of work using phablets.
In addition to gaming, users can surf the web, read ebook and much more using a 6-inch device rather than straning eyes using a small smartphone. Sen further stated that the new Mega series will provide an impressive internet and entertainment experience.
On the specifications front, the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 phablet features a 6-inch IPS qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. We expect atleast a HD display for a 6-inch phablet. Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage, the Android 5.0 Lollipop loaded device is equipped with a 3000mAh battery.
While the main camera features an 8MP autofocus camera with LED flash, the front-facing sensor is integrated with a 5MP sensor to enable users to capture accurate selfies.
On the connectivity segment, the Micromax Canvas Mega 2 phablet provides support for 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi.
