Samsung India will launch 2016 editions of Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung Galaxy J7 on May 9. With the tagline “Get ready to witness the next.“, the company has already mailed out media invites.
To be featured with metal frames, the new J-series smartphones is loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 13-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash including a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which features f/1.9 aperture.
While Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch HD Super Amoled display, the Galaxy J7 (2016) features a 5.5-inch HD Super Amoled display. Specification wise, both devices are same with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB).
The main difference is that Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 features a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, while the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 ships with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz.
Moreover, Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 is equipped with an enhanced battery of 3300mAh, when compared to Galaxy J5 with 3100mAh battery. The weight of Galaxy S7 is slightly higher than Galaxy S5.
