Amazon India has once again modified the return policy of certain categories like laptops and tablets. As per the new policy, Tablets, Laptops, Desktops, Monitors, Cameras, Camera lenses will not be eligible for return if you need not require the item. Earlier, Amazon had modified the return policy of mobile phones.
Amazon India had taken this drastic step to prevent customers from abusing their famous return policy. People in India loved their return policy but few customers are just buying the devices and returning them before the expiry. This had created huge losses not only for the company but also for sellers.
This is because Amazon pays to the seller only when the actual return period ends. If the customer return the product then seller will not get commission from Amazon.
Flipkart, India’s home grown company also follow the similar return policy where if you got a defective item you can replace it. However, if you got a working item you will not be eligible for returns.
Hence, the next time you buy a product from Tablets, Laptops, Desktops, Monitors, Cameras, Camera lenses categories, you should be careful because once you got a working item you will not be eligible to return. You will not be able to return by just saying that “I don’t like the product”
We recently purchased a laptop and returned it since we faced heating issues. We returned it immediately and got the money back. This will not be possible in future since we have to accept what we got.
