TripIt rolls out new Android Wear app with updates to previous Android app

TripIt from Concur has rolled out support for Android Wear and adds improved features and enhancements to its existing Android app. With TripIt for Android Wear, you will be able to quickly access the required information pertaining to flight, hotel and rental car directly from your wrist without having to take out your smartphone.

Developed from the ground up for the Android Wear smartwatch, the app includes a flight countdown timer. As a passenger, you will be able to retrieve flight details before you head over to the airport and confirm hotels check-in times after the arrival at the destination.

You will be able to view a countdown of the flight’s departure time directly from your Android Wear smartwatch. If you are a TripIt Pro user, you will be able to view real-time flight alerts, which includes connecting flight information, gate changes, flight delays and more.

The countdown timer kicks off 90 minutes before a flight actually departs from the destination and will run till the flight takes off. Once you board the plane, the timer switches and displays the total time left for the flights to land at the destination.

In addition to improved design, the updated TripIt app provides direct access to Google and Apple maps in addition to integration of long press function to copy the address of a location in the app.
