Xiaomi has announced the launch of Yi Action Camera 2 named Yi 4K. Touted to shoot 4K videos at 30fps including FHD recording at 120fps and HD at 240fps.
Priced at CNY 1199, the Xiaomi Yi 4K action camera ships in Black, White and Pink color variants and is available only via crowd funding method in China. This means you need to pay for the product now and the product will be shipped to you in June.
On the specifictions front, the Yi 4K action camera features a 12MP Sony IMX377 image sensor which has a 1/2.3-inch sensor size, 7P lens with f/2.8 aperture and 155 degree angle of view. It is also equipped with a 2.19-inch Corning Gorilla Glass protected display on the rear side.
Equipped with dual-band Wi-fi support, the image processing will be accomplished by the Ambarella A9SE SoC which supports the H.264 codec. It is possible to shoot timelapse videos with intervals as long as 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 and 60 seconds.
Powered by a 1400mAh battery, the camera is capable of shooting images and videos up to two hours. The Xiaomi Yi 4K action camera also offers a 6-axis gyroscope with electronic image stabilisation.
