Savior from Ankomn has won the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design 2016.
Ankomn announced today that Savior, the world’s most powerful non-electric vacuum sealed container ever made for food storage, has won the coveted Red Dot Award for Product Design 2016. Savior won for being one of this year’s best of the industry for its patented vacuum seal technology system that keeps food fresher up to 8 times longer, saving waste, money, and the environment.
Savior keeps food at the peak of its freshness by forcing air out with each twist of the lid, locking out excessive humidity as well as dry air that can make food go stale. Savior keeps all food fresh, including nuts, tobacco, coffee, tea, truffles, herbs, fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, chips, and baked goods – it even marinates meat.
Savior creates an air-tight seal in seconds with just 3 easy twists of your wrist. The vacuum seal can also be easily released by pressing the button on the top of the container.
One of the largest competitions in the world, the Red Dot Award is voted by 41 strict jury members, who assessed a record number of 5,214 products from 57 nations this year.
Unlike expensive vacuum seal systems with complex operation, Savior doesn’t require a bulky hard-to-use pump or dangerous electricity.
The Red Dot jury, consisting of independent designers, design professors and specialists journalists, discuss all entries live and on site according to the strict Red Dot statutes. Only outstanding achievements receive a distinction.
In addition to the Red Dot Award, the Savior has been awarded numerous other awards and accolades, including the 2016 iF Design Award.
