Flipkart compensation low, says IIM

Flipkart compensation low, says IIM

With India based e-commerce marketplace struggling with the sales and overall revenues, Flipkart has reportedly offered low payscales for fresh graduates from IIM Ahmedabad. According to IIM sources, the salary offered by Flipkart is too low based on current market conditions and asked the company to reconsider the offered salaries.

According to a popular English news channel based in India, Flipkart’s Rs. 1.25 lakh take home pay is very low provided to IIM graduates.

Nowadays, Flipkart is finding it difficult to retain customers because of less discounts. Moreover, the company is throwing in products with offers and special deals once in every two months to attract customers.

The ongoing Flipkart Big Billion Days is a reflecion of the company’s urgency to gain profits. However, the products are not offered any substantial discounts like what they offered two years back.

Flipkart also revised the return policy with the condition that refunds are not offered for products but will be replaced in case of any defect.

India has got bright talents and we hope Flipkart will reconsider the initial salaries offered to graduates from various IIMs across the country.
