Xiaomi has announced that its flagship Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 will be available without registrations on the official Mi India website from June 1. The company has ditched the registrations after nearly 2 months after the official launch.
Recently, Hugo Barra at Google I/O 2016 made a revelation that Xiaomi is planning to increase production capacity of the Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3 for India to address the strong demand for the smartphones in the country. He added that their phones are more popular among youths, particularly students.
You need not have to register to buy Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3. You just need to visit Mi.com and purchase the device, provided if the stock is available.
On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Mi 5, priced at Rs. 24999 features a 5.15-inch full-HD (1080×1920;428ppi) with curved 3D Ceramic glass display, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 3000mAh battery with fast charging technology. The device runs on Android Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top.
While the rear camera features a 16-megapixel sensor with Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF (phase detection autofocus), OIS, sapphire glass protection, 4K video support, and LED flash, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
Talking about Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the device bears a 5.5-inch FHD IPS display, Snapdragon 650, 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, 4050mAh battery with fast charging support.
The device comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash, while the front-facing shooter houses a powerful 5-megapixel sensor. While the 2GB model is available at Rs. 9999, the 3GB variant will fetch you Rs. 11999.
