Airtel has officially launched its premium platinum 3G nework for customers located in Bengaluru and Punjab. Touted to offer superior mobile experience through significantly enhanced indoor coverage, the new Platinum 3G network provides enhanced indoor coverage, better voice clarity including faster internet speeds.
Powered by dual spectrum bands consisting of 900Mhz along with 2100Mhz, the Airtel Platinum 3G service does not require any additional subscription and is part of the company’s network enhancement programme.
Commenting on the launch, C Surendran, CEO, Karnataka, Bharti Airtel Limited revealed that the launch of Platinum 3G will deliver enhanced voice as well as data connectivity for customers on 3G as we continue to roll out 4G services in the state. Moreover, it will optimize the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, which enable customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices.
Earlier, Airtel had launched its Platinum 3G in 60 towns across Assam. Furthermore, Airtel has launched the implementation of its nationwide network transformation program code named Project Leap.
Airtel is planning to exptend the Platinum 3G service to all major cities by the end of 2016.
