OnePlus 3 will officially launch on June 14. Announcing the launch, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei revealed that OnePlus 3 will be available for purchase without requiring an invitation. This means there will be no flash sales.
Pei wrote on the company’s official forum as given below
We are releasing the OnePlus 3 invite-free, right from launch day. In addition, invites are gone forever from future OnePlus product launches.
As reported previously, OnePlus 3 will be launched in VR just like OnePlus 2. At that time, the company distributed Google Cardboard inspired VR but now they are giving away Loop VR headsets.
Touted to be a visor-style Loop VR, the headset will have improvements over the previous headsets. According to sources, OnePlus 3 will ship with Loop VR headsets, although not confirmed.
As per OnePlus, the launch will be the world’s first global shopping experience in VR. Visitors to The Loop will be able to order the OnePlus 3 before anyone else, in VR.
On the specifications front, the OnePlus 3 is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM and 32GB/64GB memory variants loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on top of OxygenOS. Equipped with a 3,000mAh battery and Dash Charging, the OnePlus 3 will have enhanced display features than the previous OnePlus 2.
