Triumph has announced the launch of he third model of its Bonneville bike series captioned Thruxton R in Diablo Red and Silver Ice color variants at Rs. 10.9 lakhs. The price is based on the showroom price in Delhi and will vary depending upon each state.
Commenting on the launch of Thruxton R, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles, India disclosed that the design of the bike is elegant to match the quality of the design, detailing, power and performance including the integration of latest modern technology. The perfect combination of head-turning style, spine-tingling performance coupled with unparalleled heritage and character will surely attract yound bike riders in India.
With a retro style design, the cafe-racer styled Thruxton R was featured in the at the 2016 Auto Expo held in February at Greater Noida.
On the specifications front, the new Thruxton R features a new 1200cc parallel-twin engine, which can deliver a peak power and torque output of 96bhp at 6750rpm and 112Nm at 4950rpm respectively. The new torque output is 62% higher than the output of its previous counterpart.
Talking about features, the Thruxton R bike features switchable ABS, switchable traction control, torque assist clutch
including ride-by-wire with three different riding modes such as rain, roads and sports. Moreover, the bike comes with a twin floating Brembo Disc brakes, and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres, which are reliable in Indian road conditions.
