Oppo has launched A59 smartphone with 5.5-inch display at CNY 1799 in China. According to company sources, the Oppo A59 will be available for purchase from June 18 in Gold and Rose Gold color variants. As of writing this, we don’t have any official information about the availability of the smartphone in India.
On the specifications front, the Oppo A59 features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, MediaTek MT6750 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB) loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of ColorOS 3.0 UI.
While the main camera features a 13-megapixel sensor with LED flash and PDAF, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a 5-megapixel sensor.
Designed using a metal unibody, the Oppo A59 is powered by a 3075mAh battery with dual speakers on the bottom panel adjacent to the charging slot. The integrated fingerprint scanner is capable of unlocking the smartphone in 0.22 seconds.
With a thickness of 7.39mm and weight of 160 grams, the Oppo A59 provides support for 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. As per the listing on the Oppo’s official website, Oppo A59 will be compatible with Indian carriers.
