Cyanogen OS 13.1 released with Mod Support rolled out to OnePlus One

Cyanogen OS 13.1 has been rolled out to all the eligible devices, starting with the OnePlus One. The update brings support for the Mod platform that Cyanogen had introduced back in February. Even though the update is being rolled out across the globe, users are already receiving it on their OnePlus One devices in India.

Designed for developers, the Cyanogen’s Mod platform enable deep integration of apps and services into Android, making them almost native experiences. In addition to developers, the program is also available to hardware partners who want to make their devices ‘Mod Ready’.

The Cyanogen OS 13.1, weighs 363.3MB and bears build number 13.1-ZNH2KAS1KN based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The update includes upgrades to the previously released Cortana. As auser, you will be able to instruct Cortana to capture a selfie, wake up the device, swipe left, and interact with the voice-based virtual assistant. Earlier, Cortana functionality for Cyanogen OS is only available in the US.

You can download the update by tapping the relevant option on the notification bar. Alternatively, youcan manually verify for the existence of an update by selecting Settings icon. Instead of static wallpaper option, you will be able to set Twitter updates as the lock screen wallpaper.

The Microsoft Hyperlapse Mod has been added to the Camera app to enable users to shoot time-lapse videos, or convert any video in their Gallery app into a time-lapse one.
