Jaguar has launched the petrol version of XE Prestige variant in India. Priced at Rs. 43.69 lakh, the newmodel is lesser than XE Pure and XE Portfolio variants priced at Rs. 39.9 lakh and Rs. 47.99 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Designed on a new platform based on aluminium intensive architecture using lightweight aluminium monocoque chassis, the Jaguar XE Prestige is extremely light but durable and strong. The latest variant is designed inspired from its previous counterparts – Jaguar XJ and XF with sharp exterior features and fluid character lines.
Commenting on the new launch, Rohit Suri, president, Jaguar Land Rover India Ltd (JLRIL) revealed that the all-new Jaguar XE is a distinctive combination of Jaguar’s cutting-edge innovation, technology and design. Suri disclosed that the company has entered a new market segment and made Jaguar more accessible to our customers while maintaining the premium and aspirational equity of the brand.
This luxury sport saloon has been setting benchmarks in the industry since its launch and with the introduction of the Prestige derivative, we are confident of its continued popularity and success, adds Suri.
On the specifications front, the Jaguar XE Prestige features interior mood lightings, Taurus leather appointments, memory function for driver seat, sliding sunroof, a 380W sound system by Meridian and four-way lumbar support settings.
The new XE Prestige is capable of producing 200PS of power and 320Nm of torque which lends it the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.7 seconds, while it can achieve a top speed of 237kmph.
