WhatsApp has been making a steady progress to grab the market share of mobile messaging by introducing new features that enable users to quote messages while replying. Initially, the new feature was discovered in beta version of WhatsApp for Android.
However, this new feature is available across Android and iOS apps and can be downloaded from Google Play Store and the App Store.
Users ned to long press a message in any conversation to view a reply option pop up alongside star, delete, forward, and copy. The original message will appear as a quote and you can reply to the message. The receiver will view the quoted message as a grey box with the reply below it. The feature works on one-to-one chats as well as group chats.
Recently, the Facebook-owned messaging service introduced video calling feature on its Android beta app. On the iOS versioon,we saw the addition of GIF messaging sharing support.
With over one billion monthly active users, the most recent update was the addition of a web based platform and firs desktop app for Window and OS X platforms.
