Twitter has rolled out “Go Live” Periscope button for Android and iOS. You will be able to choose an option to live stream option directly from within the Twitter app using the button.
As a Twitter user, you need not have to switch apps to go live. You will be able to view the new feature while composing a new tweet along with other options such as adding video and photo. If you are not a user of periscope, you will be prompted to download the app.
Earlier, Twitter had rolled out a Periscope live-streaming button on iOS app for select users. It was first spotted on an iPhone 6s Plus but now it is widely available for all Android and iOS users.
As of now, Facebook’s Live video feature is already available to over one billion plus users and is gaining popularity. According to sources, Twitter is struggling to reach out to market and the recent integration of Periscope is seen as an attempt to gain an increased market share.
