Xiaomi Mi Max with 6.44-inch display to launch in India on June 30

Xiaomi will unveil Mi Max with a 6.44-inch IPS display in India on June 30. Announced by Chinese company’s VP Hugo Barra on Twitter, the Mi Max was launched in China at $230 for the base variant with Snapdragon 650, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

A higher version with 64GB was also launched in China but we don’t have any confirmation as to whether the model will be available in India. However, we can confirm the availability of 32GB.

Xiaomi has started to send e-mail to registered customers with the subject “Mi Max is coming on Jun 30th!”. It mentions that summer will be exciting with the launch of Mi Max on June 30. Moreover, Xiaomi is conducting campaigns from June 16 to promote the launch event with Poster competition.

If you manage to design an unique poster for Mi Max and share it to your friends via Mi India mobile app, you will be eligible for a chance to win the Mi Max and other exclusive gifts from Mi.

We expect Mi Max to cost around Rs. 20000 in India based on Chinese price at $230.
