YouTube faced downtime for few minutes in June 22

YouTube went down for few minutes on June 22. While the home page displayed an internal server error on the main page, it is not clear as to whether the downtime was global.

During the downtime, the YouTube displayed a long line of code alongside the content which states “Sorry, something went wrong.” “A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation,”.

“If you see them, send them this information as text (screenshots frighten them),” the message further said.

However, the website returned back to normalcy but there was no change on the homepage.

Earlier, YouTube rolled out a new feature which is dubbed as smart Offline in India, which enable users to download videos at cheaper night time data rates offered by mobile operators in India.
