Micromax has released Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro loaded with Indus OS 2.0 in India at Rs. 6999 and Rs. 7499 respectively. While the Micromax Unite 4 will be available via offline retail channels, the Micromax Unite 4 Pro will be released exclusively via Snapdeal.
According to Micromax, the new Unite smartphones are aimed at first time smartphone users who want to use the device in their native language. The pre-loaded Indus OS 2 ships with support for 12 regional languages, App Bazaar, Indus-to-Indus free SMS services, Indus Swipe feature in addition to text-to-speech technology in six Indian languages.

Responding to media, Shubhajit Sen, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Informatics disclosed that regional language support is the most expected with Micromax being a pioneer in bringing language smartphones to the country with its Unite series. To address the challenge, Micromax has established partnership with Indus OS to take a lead in bridging the divide across various languages and provide users the best localized smartphone experience.
The App Bazaar enables you to download and pay for apps without email IDs and credit cards. Moreover, both smartphones ships with 8-megapixel rear camera with support for LED Flash and autofocus coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper. The handsets also ships with fingerprint scanners.
