The mobile connectivity networks of Idea and Airtel went out of order on Saturday morning at 9.30 AM. Customers were unable to establish connectivity with the offices of Idea. In Kerala, India customers were worst affected.
However, few people managed to walk into the showrooms of Idea but the reply they got as that the connection will be restored immediately. According to a customer who declined to reveal the identity, the connection was not restored even after 5 PM. Those affected are unable to establish connectivity via call or browse Internet.
According to reports, few customers thought that the problem is with their handset and not the service providers. However, they realized the problem when the news spread like viral on social media.
Despite repeated attempts of reaching out to the respective companies by customers, the service providers have failed to restore connectivity. The recent blackout had also seriously affected the Idea’s attempt to increase the market share. Few customers are raised slogans as part of their protests in front of Idea’s corporate office in Kochi.
Today, Idea tendered an apology over leading newspapers thanking customers who stood by them in the hour of crisis.
