Flipkart’s delivery boy arrested in Chennai for stealing 12 iPhones

According to reports, B Naveen, a 21-year old Flipkart delivery boy was reportedly arrested in Chennai for stealing 12 iPhones from the packages.

As per the demand, Naveen used to place orders using fake addresses in the area he used to deliver daily. He would replace the phone with a fake one and returns to the company stating that the device was returned by unsatisfied customers.

Naveen has been doing this kind of act for over a month and was nabbed since Flipkart team noticed an unusual amount of product returns, which originated from the same area.

Arrested on Sunday, Naveen, who was in charge of delivery for the past six months, did this kind of illegal activity to settle his own debts. He used to order phone and replace it with a fake model,which he used to buy from Ritchie street and sent it back to the warehouse saying that it was returned by customer.

The police have recovered the phones and the total value of the stolen devices accounts to over Rs. 500,000.
