Infomart Data Centers, a national wholesale data center provider, today announces that its President, John Sheputis, will speak at DatacenterDynamics (DCD) Webscale, taking place at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California, July 19-20, 2016.
DCD Webscale brings together over 1200 senior business, operations, and information technology professionals from the world’s largest Internet companies to discuss the future of digital infrastructure in the Zettabyte era.
On Tuesday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m., Mr. Sheputis, alongside Jeff Bonwick, Co-founder and CTO of DSSD, now part of EMC, and Chris Chin, Principal Global Program Manager, EMC / DSSD, will present “How EMC’s DSSD Went from Lab to Production in 90 Days.”
Taking place in Hall 1, the discussion will explore how EMC took its new DSSD flash storage solution from an in-house lab to a 1.2 MW data center in less than 30 days, and began production in under 90. Mr. Sheputis, Mr. Chin and Mr. Bonwick will examine the tactical solutions implemented and lessons learned while executing this initiative.
The breathtaking speed with which EMC fast-tracked its DSSD flash storage solution to market is a prime example of the productive synergy that can exist between data centers and innovative technology brands when they work together. Given a competitive business climate that is further accelerated by M&A activity, end-users and data center providers are working closer than ever to ensure fast and successful deployment of IT solutions.
Later that day, at 2:50 PM in Hall 3, Mr. Sheputis will participate on the panel, “In the New World of the Commodity Data Center, Whither Goest the Broker?” alongside representatives from JLL, Infinity SDC, DCI Technology Holdings, Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE and Vantage Data Centers.
The panel will explore the role of the data center broker as commodity facilities and autonomous products become more prevalent.
