Xiaomi Redmi Pro scheduled to launch in July 27

Xiaomi has confirmed that its upcoming Redmi smartphone will be codenamed as Xiaomi Redmi Pro and will be unveiled on July 27. According to information revealed by Weibo, Xiaomi has confirmed that the official name of the upcoming Redmi device will be Xiaomi Redmi Pro.

On the specifications front, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro features a deca-core MediaTek MT6797M processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of MIUI 8, there are rumors that the company will release a 4GB RAM model as well. A recent Geekbench score revealed that Xiaomi Redmi Pro scored 1218 in single-core tests while 4183 on multi-core test.

Earlier, Xiaomi Redmi Pro was seen in a teaser image featuring Redmi’s celeb face Liu Haoran holding a white Mi branded smartphone. It showed dual camera with a fingerprint sensor in between.

With metal unibody, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro features antenna bands on top and bottom of the smartphone. Moreover, the volume rockers and the power button will likely find a place on the right side of the device.
