Samsung Gear S3 expected to launch at IFA 2016 in Berlin on September 1

Samsung Gear S3 will be launched at IFS 2016 in Berlin on September 1. The smartphone giant has already sending out invites for the launch event. Upon inspection, the invite has two clock hands in blue color in addition to venue and timings. This gives a strong possibility that the device will be launched at the press conference.

In 2015, Samsung unveiled its Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic with Tizen OS and rotating bezels at IFA. Even though the new Gear S3 is expected to retain the same design language as its predecessor, the upcoming Samsung Gear S3 will be available in Classic, Frontier and Explorer variants.

Expected to be a rugged version of the smartwatch, the Gear S3 Explorer is aimed at athletes. However, there is no confirmation as to the kind of software integrated with the Sear S3.

In 2015, Samsung introduced the Samsung Pay service on Gear S2 smartwatch. We can expect the same in the new Gear S3 as well.

The Gear S2 smartwatch features 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 1.0GHz dual-core processor loaded with Tizen OS and 250mAh battery. The Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic is available in India at Rs. 24300 and Rs. 25800.

Equipped with an built-in heart rate sensor, the Samsung Gear S2 enables you to access emails, notifications and messages.
