ChampOne S1 smartphone with fingerprint sensor launched at Rs. 501

With months after the infamous Freedom 251 made waves into the Indian smartphone segment, ChampOne S1 smartphone has been announced at Rs. 501. According to company sources, they have registered with MCA India and will manufacture the product under Made in India tag.

On the specifications front, the ChampOne S1 features a 5-inch HD IPS display, a MediaTek MT6735 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The device will have 16GB expandable internal storage.

While the rear camera will have a 8MP sensor, the front-facing snapper is equipped with a 5MP sensor. Interestingly, the company claims that the smartphone also ships with a fingerprint scanner, which is currently available with premium smartphones.

The company sources revealed to us that the current price of Rs. 501 is only for limited time. The original cost of the smartphone will be around Rs. 8000.

If you are interested, you need to register on the website, which is open since August 22. You will be able to buy the smartphone on September 2 only if you are registered. Regarding payment, you need to pay through Cash on Verdict. This means when the courier delivery staff knocks your door, you need to pay Rs. 501 and grab the product.
