Honor, Huawei’s smartphone e-brand for digital natives has launched its latest flagship Honor 8. This is in addition to two other smartphones, Honor 8 Smart and Honor Holly 3. Interestingly, Honor 8 Smart is the first Make in India smartphone.
The Honor 8 is available in the Sapphire Blue along with Pearl White and Sunrise Gold color variants at Rs. 29,999. The Honor 8 will come with 2 years warranty and a touch screen replacement guarantee in the first three months.
Since the entry into the market two years ago, Honor has experienced extraordinary growth by focusing on the online market and giving digital natives the type of devices that fit their lifestyle.
Responding to this consumer loyalty and feedback, Honor has expanded its offering with Honor 8 Smart and its first ‘Make in India’ phone Honor Holly 3. While Honor 8 Smart is available in black, white and gold colors at Rs. 19999, the Honor Holly 3 is available in black, white and gold colors at Rs. 9999.
Commenting on the launch, George Zhao, President, Honor revealed that the company recently celebrated the second anniversary of Honor in India. Honor has received an incredible amount of love and support for all of our products starting with Honor 6 in 2014 and is excited to launch three new offerings to our customers. These three smartphones include – Honor 8, a sleek and elegant smartphone that boasts of our dual lens camera legacy.
Zhao also disclosed that the Honor Holly 3 is the first smartphone manufactured under Make in India initiative manufactured from its Chennai facility. With this launch, we continue our India journey and promise to introduce even more high-quality, disruptive products in the market.
Honor 8 features
The Honor 8 smartphone features powerful construction, inspired design, and next-generation technology giving speed, and connectivity for today’s young millennial consumers.
The 12MP dual-lens camera included with Honor 8 comprises of a RGB and a monochrome lens that captures more light to deliver amazing picture quality, vivid color, and stunning detail. Moreover, the 8MP front-facing snapper works efficiently in low light for all the selfie fans.
Honor 8 features the double-sides glass design with a Sapphire Blue colour. The phone is loaded with Android 6.0
Marshmallow on top of Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1.
Talking about the internals, the Honor 8 is powered by a 16 nanometer Kirin 950 processor that reduces power consumption and enhances overall performance. Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Honor 8 ships with 4GB RAM with expandable memory slot of up to 128GB.
