Xiaomi Mi Note 2 with bezel-less display will be unveiled at the Peking University Gymnasium on October 25 . The company finally decided to launch the handset after widespread speculations and rumors. The company announced that the Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung will be the host for the event.
Acording to latest rumors, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have an all top display, with no sensors or front camera on top. This gives the phone a unique look and feel. However, you will not find a dual-edge display as rumored previously.
As per few images, which was leaked on Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be equipped with a very thin bezel on all four sides. While the bottom portion will have navigation buttons, the top portion will be used for front camera. Interestingly, sensors are not visible.
Previously, it was speculated that Mi Note 2 will ship with a dual-edge display. The leaked shows the smartphone from the front side. Hence, there could be a possibility to integrate a dual-camera display.
On the specifications segment, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage powered by a 3600mAh battery. Although Android 7.0 Nougat is ruled out, we can expect an update in future. While the 6GB/64GB storage is priced at CNY 2499, THE 128GB storage variant is expected to be priced at CNY 2799.
