After the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, the company has started to push October security patch for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. The update has reached few unbranded units in the Europe. With the firmware version XXS1BPJ1, the update brings in the Android security patch for the month of October.

If you are not viewing the update dialog, it will take few more days since the update is rolled out in phases. You can also verify the existence of the update by navigating to the Settings menu.

Samsung Galaxy S7 features 5.1-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display, 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage, 12MP rear sensor paired with 5MP front-facing snapper. The phone also offers fast charging technology, which has an ability to charge 60 percent in 30 minutes. A 3000mAh battery completes the package.
