Reliance Jio has launched the special edition Lyf F1 smartphone for Rs. 13399. The handset was unveiled by model and actor Genelia D’Souza at the Reliance Retail outlet in Prabhadevi, Mumbai.

Commenting on the launch, Sunil Dutt, President – Devices, Reliance Retail disclosed that Lyf F1 smartphone+ is designed to take full advantage of the future ready Jio Network. The phone offers unmatched speed, quality and product experience.

Dutt said that the Lyf F1 is a handset specifically designed to use the services offered by Jio to the fullest. The handset supports carrier aggregation, which allows service providers to spread the data transfer across multiple LTE carriers to boost the bitrate, for a snappier browsing experience. Carrier aggregation is also known to reduce the impact on battery life.

On the specifciations front, the Lyf F1 smartphone features a 5.5-inch FHD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protected display with a pixel density of 400 PPI. On the internals, the Lyf F1 is powered by a Snapdragon 617 processor alongside 3GB RAM.

Powered by a 3200mAh battery, the phone comes with 32GB internal storage with expansion capability up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone is loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

While the rear camera features a 16MP sensor, the front-facing snapper is equipped with an 8MP sensor. The handset offers various sensors such as gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, accelerometer and e-compass.

The main attraction of the Lyf F1 is that the phone ships with Rich Communication Services (RCS). This feature enable you to perform enhanced calling and messaging features over the sim card itself. You will find support for group messaging, sending emoji and files, as well as file and location sharing.

The Lyf F1 smartphone also features a custom video player, which enables you to view two videos simultaneously. The embedded pausing feature automatically halts the video if users stop looking at the display via Smart Play feature. The camera sensor provides support for low light imaging including image stabilization that reduces the shake in videos shot while in motion.
