Microsoft Surface is indeed a killer gadget. However, several companies have attempted to manufacture competing products. The latest in the news is the launch of Eve V Windows 10 hybrid on Indiegogo. According to reports, theis hybrid laptop will be compete with the likes of Samsung TabPro S and Huawei Matebook.
The owner of the Finnish company Eve has reportedly described the upcoming gadget as a Surface Killer. The Eve V is available in three variants in Intel Core m3, Intel Core i5 and Intel Core i7. You will also get a wireless keyboard and the V Pen, which is more or less similar to that of the Surface Pen. Interestingly, the V Pen is bundled with all models.
To begin with the manufacturer will only ship 500 units of Eve V Windows 10 tablet. If you place your order now, you will be eligible to get the product during the first round of sale, which will kick start in February 2017.
Eve V specifications
On the specifications front, the Eve V tablet will be available in Core m3-7Y 30, Core i5 7Y54 and Core i7-7Y75 variants. The tablet will be equipped with 8GB and 16GB RAM. Talking about storage front, the Eve V will have 128GB by default and will go up to 512GB.
Eve V features IGZO display
While other 2-in-1 tablets ships with 10-inch display, the Eve V will be integrated with a high quality 12.3-inch Indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) LCD display with a massive resolution of 2736×1824. The display offers a contrast ratio of 1:1400 with 450 nits brightness.

The main attraction of the 12.3-inch display is the addition of Corning Gorilla Glass technology with anti-fingerprint and anti- reflection coating. Moreover, the display is manufactured using metal-mesh technology.
Eve V camera
On the camera segment, the Eve V tablet will offer a 5MP rear camera with 2MP front-facing snapper. While other competing products are equipped with normal speakers, the Eve V will be infused with Quad speakers with audio amplifier by T1 tpa6133. You also have 2 noise cancelling microphones and a dedicated headphone jack.
The keyboard will have both wired and wireless connectivity with backlit technology. The tablet will have glass coated precision touchpad by Synaptics. Moreover, the gadget will provide support for Bluetooth 4.2 with an ability to connect up to 3 gadgets.
Eve V will offer Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port
The forthcoming Eve V will offer 1 Thunderbolt 3 USB-C and USB 3.1 Gen C USB-C ports. Moreover, it will have 2x USB 3.1 Gen 1 USB-A ports and a 3.5mm audio port. You can also read microSD cards using the included port.
On the whole, you will get a power packed machine with all the latest technology. According to the company sources, the Eve V will be loaded with Windows 10 Home or Professional version without any bloatware. Hence, your tablet will offer 57 percent enhanced boot time.
The addition of anti-reflective and dirt-repelling coating enables you to work with Eve V on bright sunlight. The keyboard can be detached easily. You can also use the gadget as a standalone tablet. The Eve V is designed using durable aluminium body with the latest Intel Kaby Lake processor.
