Reliance Jio will most likely extend Welcome Offer till March 2017 on December 28. According to reports, the company will extend the Welcome Offer for another three months to March 2017 instead of ending the free offer on December 31.
The company will make a formal announcement regarding the extension on December 28 on the occasion of Ambani’s birthday. Previously, it was reported that the offer will end on December 31 for all users who have taken a Reliance Jio SIM before December 3.
On September 1, Reliance Industries announced free free voice calls and roaming services for users. The company announced that data would be charged at 1/10 of the existing market rates. However, as part of the initial offer, the company is providing free preview of all the services absolutely free of cost till December 31. However, you should buy a free Jio SIM card on or before December 3.
According to Jio data packages, you will be charged an effective rate of Rs. 50 per GB. As per Rs. 149 package, you an avail free voice, roaming and 100 SMS along with 0.3GB of 4G data. If you buy Rs. 4999 plan, you will get 75GB of 4G data including unlimited 4G access for a period of 28 days.
In addition to the above, you can also avail plans for Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,499, Rs. 2,499, and Rs. 3,999. The problem with these plans is that you will be required to exhaust all the data within one month. Hence, the Reliance Jio 4G will be useful for travelling people.
You can also avail Wi-Fi connectivity from JioNet Hotspots for all plans except Rs. 149 plan.
