In a significant development post demonetization, Yes Bank and Ola Cabs have joined hands together to build a mobile solution. As part of the partnership, Ola Cabs will dispense cash to your house via micro ATMs installed by the bank.
Commenting on the development, Rajat Mehta, Senior President & Country Head, Brand & Retail Marketing, Yes Bank disclosed that the new initiative is part of our commitment to serve customers from all walks of life. He said that the bank’s IT team is working together with Ola to develop a mobile payment solution, who will dispense money at your doorstep. Mehta added that the work is going on in full swing and the new solution will be officially launched within the next 10 days.
The main purpose of the new mobile solution is to enhance the connectivity with the general public. Moreover, the company is actively working to install several touch points in various strategic locations.
In a statement released to the press, Mehta stated that the customers will not be required to pay any money since the new solution is mainly launched as a service gesture. Meanwhile, Ola is working on multiple initiatives.
During his interaction, Mehta aded that the new mobile solution is being developed not to serve Yes Bank customers. It will be suitable for general public. The bank wants to go beyond by tapping the latest technology. Hence, they are establishing partnerships with the emerging companies such as Ola.
He said that the next stage will see their team reaching out to a customer who is inside the cab. To build a new mobile solution, both Yes Bank and Ola Cabs need to integrate both system and technology equally.
