LeEco in association with Coolpad are working towards the release of Cool 1S, which will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor. The latest round of leaks collaborates this information.
As of writing this, the two Chinese based companies have released Cool1 Dual and Cool 1C. The forthcoming Cool 1S will be a total flagship smartphone unlike the previously released handsets.
On the specifications segment, the Cool 1S features a Snapdragon 821 processor loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. You will work with LeEco’s EUI 5.8, which is the latest version. Since we haven’t seen a Cool-branded smartphone passing TENAA certification along with a Snapdragon 821 processor, we expect the new phone will be Cool 1S.
Based on available reports, you can expect the addition of a 5.5-inch FHD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, 16MP rear camera including 8MP front-facing snapper. There are reports that the forthcoming Cool 1S will ship with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
According to reports, the Cool 1S will be equipped with a 4000mAh battery. However, we expect the phone to carry 3000mAh battery. You can expect Cool 1S in gold, white, silver, blue and black color variants.
We don’t have any information about the pricing of the Cool 1S smartphone. However, it could be near $130 to $150 mark. There is no confirmation about the expected release date. However, we expect the new handset to hit retail shelves by Q2 2017.
