In a bid to combat Reliance Jio, BSNL has launched unlimited calling offer under prepaid scheme at Rs. 99 per month. According to sources, the new plan provides limited free data usage and unlimited voice calling facility in the midst of heavy competition from its competitors.
In a statement released to the press, BSNL disclosed that the have introduced unlimited local calls that includes STD services between BSNL users. Moreover, you will be eligible to avail 300MB data for only Rs. 99 with 28 days validity. The new plan will be applicable only for prepaid mobile customers.
The rate of Rs. 99 will be applicable for customers based in Kolkata TD, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Gujrat, MP, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra and Rajasthan between BSNL to BSNL. The rate will vary in other telecom circles from Rs. 119 to Rs. 149.
Commenting on the development, RK Mittal, Director for Consumer Mobility, BSNL revealed that the tariff offered by BSNL are very competitive. They are committed to provide budget friendly and superior services to our trusted customers.
To recall, BSNL is already offering unlimited 3G package for Rs. 1099 with 30 day validity. It remains to be seen as to when BSNL will launch the new plan in other telecom circles.
Moreover, users who are already making use of Reliance Jio will be relucant to switch to BSNL because of speed issues. It will be absolutely impossible for BSNL to provide a speed of Jio 4G.
