Redmi Note 3 gets better with Android Marshmallow update

Xiaomi has started to roll out the MIUI 8.1.1 update based on Android Marshmallow platform for the flagship Redmi Note 3 smartphone. The update, which measures 1.3GB in size comes with wide range of MIUI centric improvements. Moreover, the latest update provides Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to the flagship handset.

Ever since Xiaomi released Redmi Note 3, the company has been constantly developing Android Marshmallow update. Recently, Xiaomi pushed a beta version for those who want to test drive the new features. However, the latest stable release provides several improvements.

There are reports that the company is gearing up to push Android Nougat update for the currently available smartphones. If you have Redmi Note 3, you should verify for the existence of the Android Marshmallow update by tapping Tools | Updater option. Normally, your handset will be automatically updated. If you don’t have patience, you can also check manually.
