BlackBerry Mercury with physical QWERTY keyboard expected to hit Verizon by Q1 2017

The rumored BlackBerry Mercury smartphone with a physical QWERTY keyboard will be on sale from Verizon in the United States. The popular tipster Roland Quandt took to Twitter and posted a message with the information that the phone will be available fro purchase from Verizon.

Even though Quandt has revealed the availability of BlackBerry Mercury – BBS100 through Verizon, we don’t have any information about the price and estimated launch date. However, the render leaked recently states that the smartphone will be released before Q1 2017.

Expected to feature a physical QWERTY keyboard, the BlackBerry Mercury will be most probably the last smartphone released by the Canada-based company. The main point to note is that the Mercury handset is being manufactured by TCL. However, the design comes form the internal labs of BlackBerry.

Under the hood, the BlackBerry Mercury will feature a 4.5-inch curved display, Snapdagon 821 processor upto 64GB internal storage. There are reports that the upcoming Mercury handset will be powered by a huge battery. We expect the handset will be capable of delivering a backup of two days.

Based on available reports from various circles, we can confirm that the fingerprint sensor is integrated into the space bar. It enables you to autheticate without changing the hand position. You can expect several advanced features in the Mercury handset.
