Twitter-backed Periscope has added a new feature with which you can easily live stream 360-degree videos. As a user, you will be able to stream live video in 360-degree segment.
According to official sources, you will be able to view and interact with 360-degree videos in both Twitter and Periscope. However, the videos are marked with “LIVE 360” bagde.
Even though Perisocpe has rolled out this new feature, you will not be able to work with it. This is mainly due to the fact that only select broadcasters will be given access to the functionality. We expect that the Periscope will extend the new service globally after gathering feedback from the community.
To get early access to 360 streaming, you need to apply to join the waitlist group. The application prompts you to specify the kind of 360 camera that you will make use of via the Periscope Producer. Within few days, more social platforms will be able to leverage the advantages of 360-degree video.
