Vivo V5 Plus with 3000mAh battery launch on January 23: Features, specifications and Price

Vivo is scheduled to launch Vivo V5 Plus smartphone with 3000mAh battery on January 23. The company has started to send media invites for the launch event to be held in New Delhi.

Vivo V5 Plus features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protected display, MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with 4GB RAM. Under the hood, the handset will offer 32GB internal storage, which you can extend to 128GB microSD card.

On the front, the Vivo V5 Plus smartphone will feature 20MP sensor with integrated soft light LED flash for video calling. The handset also ships with 13MP rear sensor with support for Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash. You will be able to record FHD videos at 30 FPS.

A 3000mAh battery completes the package. We are not sure as to whether fast charging is enabled on the handset. The Vivi V5 Plus also ships with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button.

With support for 4G LTE, the Vivo V5 Plus will be loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. We are bit disappointed because Vivo should infuse Android 7.0 Nougat since it is the latest platform.

In addition to 4G VoLTE, the Vivo V5 Plus provides support for 3G, Wi-Fi, FM Radio, Bluetooth, GPS including traditional 3.5mm audio port. Furthermore, the handset offers support for sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light, proximity and digital compass.

Based on the specifications, we infer that the Vivo V5 Plus is aimed for selfie enthusiasts. Hence, the phone will be priced below Rs. 15000.
