Google has added 45 new banks, which will provide support for Android Pay. Technically, Android Pay is Google’s mobile payments service platform. You can find a list of all participating banks on the official Android Pay page.
Some of the banks included in the list are Alaska USA Federal Credit Union, Alcoa Tenn Federal Credit Union, Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Alliant Credit Union, Ally Bank, Alma Bank, Alpine Bank, Bank of America, Bank of England, BankLiberty, NASA Federal Credit Union, California Bank & Trust, Chase, Community Bank, Community West Credit Union, Radius Bank, Northwest Savings Bank, Norwood Bank, Utah Community Federal Credit Union and much more. Among the odd man out is the Zions Bank because you will find only one bank under Z category.
In September 2015, Android pay was introduced in the United States. Google gradually expanded the service of Android Pay to other major countries in the world. Recently, Android Pay was introduced in New Zealand, Poland, and Ireland.
We don’t have any information about when Android Pay will launch in India. We expect that Android Pay service will be launched in India by the end of 2017 since the country is gearing towards implementation of cashless economy.
