Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with model number SM-T825 gets WiFi Alliance certification

With several Samsung handsets receiving Wi-Fi certification, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is the latest one to add to the kitty. According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with model number SM-T825 has officially received clearance from Wi-Fi Alliance (WFA). The upcoming had received Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Interoperability Certificate.

With certification ID WFA69212, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 carries the model number SM-T825. The tablet has been listed under Wi-Fi and other category. Hence, you can infer that the forthcoming tablet will offer support for LTE. Recently, the Galaxy Tab S3 was spotted on Zauba, which tracks the import and export from Indian shores.

Upon analysis, the Wi-Fi certificate of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has revealed that the tablet will have Android without mentioning Marshmallow or Nougat. However, we expect the new tablet to ship with Marshmallow since we haven’t heard of any tablet with Android Nougat. Moreover, the Wi-Fi certificate has listed the frequency bands as 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

In the recent past, there were rumors that the 9.7-inch variant of Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be officially unveiled in September 2016. Moreover, Samsung had confirmed the estimated time-frame of the launch. To our surprise, the tablet was not launched. With the Galaxy Tab S3 receiving certification from Wi-Fi Alliance, the launch of the new tablet seems imminent.

As of this writing, we don’t have any confirmation about the expected launch date. However, the new tablet will be launched before the end of Q2 2017.
