HMD has launched Nokia 6 smartphone with 4GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat at 1699 Yuan. The main highlight of the newly announced phone is the integration of 16MP camera sensor. After widespread rumors, an Android smartphone from Nokia is officially announced.
To be made available in the Chinese market, to begin with, the Nokia 6 will be priced at 1699 Yuan and will be sold exclusively through JD.com. In a statement released to the press, HMD disclosed that the company would launch more smartphones throughout 2017.
Responding to media on the sidelines of the launch event, the Nokia 6 is a result of listening to our consumers who desire a beautifully crafted handset with exceptional durability, entertainment, and display features. Our ambition is to deliver a premium product, which meets consumer needs at every price point, in every market.
On the specifications front, the Nokia 6 features a 5.5-inch FHD 2.5D Gorilla Glass display, Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. The handset also provides dual amplifier speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The speakers are capable of delivering 6dB sound output with regular amp in addition to providing higher voice, deeper bass, and unmatched clarity.
Manufactured using premium 6000 series Aluminum unibody, the rear camera is equipped with a 16MP sensor alongside f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. On the front, the Nokia 6 is equipped with an 8MP sensor paired with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens.
Powered by a 3000mAh battery, the Nokia 6 provides support for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS in addition to the traditional audio port and MicroUSB port. To recall, HMD Global has exclusive rights to use the Nokia brand for the upcoming 10 years.
