Huawei is expected to launch Huawei Mate 9 smartphone in the UK by the end of January 13. In a reply over social media, Carrier Three UK disclosed that they would start the sale of the Mate 9 handset from Friday onwards.
As of this writing, we don’t have any information about the pricing of the Huawei Mate 9 provided by Carrier Three UK. In November 2016, when the handset was unveiled in Europe, it was priced at Euro 699. Recently, the Huawei Mate 9 was launched in the United Stated with a price tag of $599.
In a statement released to the press, Huawei disclosed that the company would bring Alexa virtual assistant functionality to the handset. Hence, the Mate 9 will be the first smartphone in the market integrated with Alexa capability.
On the specifications front, the Huawei Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch FHD IPS display with a pixel density of 373PPI. Talking about the internals, the Mate 9 is equipped with Kirin 960 processor, Mali-G71 MP8 graphics processor, 4GB RAM coupled with 64GB internal storage.
On the optics, the Huawei Mate 9 bears a dual 20MP Leica sensor paired with a 12MP sensor alongside f/2.2 aperture. When it comes to front-facing snapper, the Mate 9 features an 8MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. The rear camera provides support for phase detection, laser autofocus in addition to dual-LED flash.
Powered by a 4000mAh battery, the Mate 9 comes pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone also offers a fingerprint scanner on the rear side along with standard sensors such as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and barometer.
